Question about compatability

Will an 06 bottom end work in an 02 bike with 02 top end? Does anyone know?
Are you asking if the cases will interchange , or the crank ??
The cases are different 02-04 where the engine mounts go (i believe its just the front mount that is different , but not 100% positive), but i "think" if you swap the later model motor mounts and spacers and bolts to the frame , i "think" it will swap , but i have not tried it myself
The cranks should be the same , as should be the cylinder/head as far as bolt on goes from 02-08
