Long time lurker. Not sure if this needs to go into supermoto or not.
I have a 2002 CRF450R and just bought a used Magura SM brake setup with a radial mount caliper/ adapter. He said it came off of 2005 CRf450R.
This problem is the adapter holes are not wide enough. My mounts measure roughly at 4 1/4 inches and the adapter holes are roughly 3 inches. My friend has a 2003 CRF450R and is the same as mine.
I heard in 2004, they changed the width to the 3 inches (can't confirm).
I was wondering if I buy a used 2004 left fork, can I just take the fork bottom off the 2004 and mount it on my 2002 fork to solve the issue?
Thanks in advance and please let me know if I am missing anything else or if there is a better suggestion.
