Dual exhaust and a 6 spring clutch! That bike is insane and completely redesigned.

Love everything but the twin pipes. I am curious why they put them on? They already tried this idea a few years ago on the 250F and scrapped the idea and went back to a single.

I personally dont think we will see the dual exhaust stay around for very long.

sound limits. this is all about meeting the sound limits without negatively affecting performance and/or making really long/heavy muffler. no doubt there will be aftermarket single exhaust available soon as there was when the 250R had duals.

So Pneumatic spring forks for the CRF and KXF. I'm interested in seeing what people think of these once they start hitting the market. Both initial impression and how they wear and work down the road.

twin mufflers... they look pretty cool. Most people I'm sure will end up swapping for a single sided aftermarket exhaust and save some weight in the process.

The change in the clutch makes me think Honda is listening to consumers. Pretty cool.

overall I think the bike looks good.

Lots of snocross racers like and race the the fox evols (air shocks) on their sleds. They require servicing like any shock. One of the benefits of riding a spring shock though, is that if you have a seal blow out or shock fail, you still have a spring to ride on to finish the race.

Another benefit is their wide range of tuning. And ease of tuning. One of the negatives to running air or pneumatic shocks on sleds was that the air pressure is affected by temperature. But that will not be much of an issue unless you ride you dirtbike in the winter, and even still, that issue can be addressed simply by adding or taking away air pressure. Which doesn't take long.

I don't know too much about them but I do know that like everything, some riders will love them, and others will hate them ;)

    This bike looks awesome!

sounds like the hydraulic clutch was a factor of cost. I was expecting it as well.

Bikes are getting way too expensive.

    :(

The more I look at this bike the more I like it. :D

Just had the opportunity to put my greedy little fingers all over this bike :D Sounds quiet at idle, yet snaps to life very quick. I'm definitely going to own one as soon as available.

Just raced my 2013 at Washougal yesterday. The bike is sooooo much better than my 2011. It corners like a Suzuki I'm so stoked. If i had bought a 2012 a week ago and rode the 2013 id sell the 2012 and buy the 2013. Suspension seems real nice running 35 psi ill try 34 tomorrow at mtn view. The bike is probably going to win the 450 shoot out. Ive ridding all the 2013 bikes. Honda hands down, Kawi and Ktm have the engines still. Hondas engine is much improved clutch is awesome. Turn up your idle though or your gonna stall.

    Hello Ladies and Gents,

New to forum (just bought my first thumper). I recently bought a showroom, 0 hour CRF450R and am 100% stoked to be back on an offroad Honda (I have ridden a 2010 Sabre 1300 for the last 3 years). This bike (CRF450R) is outstanding! I will admit that the last time I rode a dirt bike was in 2002 and it was racing a CR125. Now that that is out of the way, I had a quick question.

Now that the CRF fuel tank is up to 1.66 gal, what is the ride time before you run out? I am debating buying an oversized tank for it, but need to know facts and data first. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to answer.
