    by ev » Mon Apr 26, 2004 8:48 am

    hi there
I already love your site - thank you very much *schmatz*
maybe you want to add a place for tips where to buy what or not
like the dealer, that has a whatever-sale
or what tires to get for what kind of surface
or the experience you had with this online shop
    :?:
    just thinking ..

    stainless sprockets

    by ev » Tue May 11, 2004 8:00 am

    ways back in time ...
could have been in the dirt bike magazine ...
I read about some indestructable sprockets from stainless steel, a matching chain was about to be released ...
has anybody actually mounted and ridden it?
would really, really like to know more about it

ev...in the furture we hope CRF's Only will the place you come to purchase online. our online catalog is near completion and we are working on distributor/reseller agreements as we speak. until then there are a number of online merchants that sell the items you mentioned.

regarding the stainless steel sprockets. a company by the name of 'Ironman Sprockets' makes stainless sprockets. i haven't used them but the they claim 4 times the life over aluminum. makes sense given the hardness of stainless. there may be other manufactures as well. regarding the chain...i'm not sure why you'd need a 'matching' chain...where they suggesting the hardness of the stainless sprocket was "chewing" up the chain? i'd have hard time believing that since the countershaft sprocket is hardened steel AND smaller.

I know you do not appreciate competitor's names on your page, but I need parts now
after intensely searching the net I found the tires incl. freight cheapest at chapparell's

    so where will I get
    - oilfilters for DRZ, CRF, SV, FZ6
    - progressive fork springs for an SV
    - new shin guards
    - new ellbow guards
    at reasonable coast?

12$ for the tiny little CRF filter seems out of proportion, my XR filters were 25$ the dozend

actually we don't mind "competitors" names on our boards...that's what the board is for...so people can share any and all information. i was hoping others would respond and share their opinions of where they purchase from. we're not endorsing any particular company so we didn't want to mention one.

you have to log in or the system won't know who you are...unless you selected remember me. if you're still having problems let me know.

Rockymountainmc.com is (in my opinion) the best dealer out there. They are almost always cheaper, fast on delivery, and have an excellent inventory.

    where to buy

I only shop at DBS. A dirt bike shop is the actual name of the store. Their web address is www.adirtbikeshop.com they don't have all their products on the site but you can get a phone # and give them a call. If you call them tell them that Wade sent you ( I am like Norm walking into Cheers when I go there) :P . They have a lot of tires in stock and maybe they will ave yours. Good luck.

The only place I shop online is http://www.mxbike.com. Very competitive prices, not tax and no shipping. George, the owner is one of the most knowledgeable people out there with respect to dirt bikes.
