What do you thank about a ranking system for the board? It would be based on the number of posts. If you like the idea let me know if you have any creative ideas on what the ranks should be called and what it would take to qualify for them.

thanks wade...you're right i wasn't very clear. for example, you have 71 posts were other newer members might only have 5 posts. You could be ranked "Factory Rider" for your posting efforts and someone with just 5 posts could be ranked "Spectator". The ranking will show up right under your name in your post. There's no limit to the number of 'categories' like "Factory Rider" and "Spectator" and each level is obtained by the number of posts a member makes.

I hope that helps clarify things a bit.

Hey thats it!!! It sounds a bit videogamish but thats a really cool idea. Before you know it negative people like Ev would be filling up the forums just to get more attention with the ranking of GLADIATOR or ELIMINATOR. Just kidding Ev, that was kind of a negative answer though dont ya think??

I think it's worth a try as long as people don't abuse it too much. Here's a thought, is there a way to highlight the number of posts each person has made - maybe in a different color or in BOLD letters and add that below thier name? That way everyone would have thier bagde of honor without having to label anyone.

robo...good ideas. the number of posts is listed but not 'highlighted' in anyway. Plus, it's not directly under their name. these things could be done without too much effort.
