    advice on buying a CR85

    not a crf but thought you guys would have some experience with this bike..

    my son wants to move up from a xr80 to a CR85.......any words of wisdom on reliabilty, problems to watch for etc?

    Rear hub bearing play often turns out to be a new hub required and check if the rear sprocket has ever been loose.
    Waterpump is probably leaking now - visible out drain hole or gluggy gear oil.

    Normal wear and tear and fatigue cracks in frame, brakes etc.
    Head bearings probably need a look at too.

    Bottom ends are normally good for 100 Hrs top ends less so.

    Great bike every kid should ride one at least once.
