can i turn my CRF80 into a CRF100?

    can i turn my CRF80 into a CRF100?

    hey guys, my dad and i have been wondering if the CRF100 cylinder will fit my CRF80 if it will will the CRF80 head work, basicly can i use the CRF80 bottom end with the CRF100 cyl. and head to make the bike a 100 or a BBR120

    not sure about your first question but the BBR120 kit will not fit the CRF80F. this kit has a replacement cylinder in it so i'm guessing that mean you can swap a CRF100F cylinder either.

    They are similar but from what i've read the 100 jug and head will not work on the 80 bottom end. Something about oil passages not lining up.

    ok thats what i was wanting to know, can the 80 be bored to make it have more power? or would a pipe/intake set up be the best place to start for mods?

    The only big bore kit I'm aware of for the 80 is the Engines Only 120 kit. It's a bit pricey though at $500.

    Unless you're building a bike for a specific class restriction these kinds of kits are fairly illogical. I've put a stupid amount of money into my crf100 but it's built to race in specific class so for me it's worth the extra $$$

    Flog the 80 like a rented mule and then sell it off for a small profit and buy a 100.
