    Pipe Options

I just bought my girlfriend a CRF 150 and she wants it to sound more like my bike (CRF 250). I plan on buying her a T-4 exhaust, but was wondering if taking out the spark arrester will make a vast improvement in sound/power for the time being...is it safe for the engine to take out the baffle? Thank you,

I know a lot of people who have taken the baffle out and it runs fine, but it is in conjunction with the power up kit(re-jet, air filter, needle position). You would be changing one part of the equation without equalizing the other.

Thank you...Do you have any suggestions for jetting/needle position?

Here in florida, zero feet above sea level. I have found that a 108 main will give you a nice brown color on the plug. I do know some people who have a 110 main, a 42 slow and move the clip to the fourth position and they have the air box drilled as well as the snorkel pulled. If you do it all you will notice a performance gain. What ever you do just keep checking you plug to check the color. Also concider you girlfriend ridding skills, if she in still learning just do the 108 main. You will have to also mess with the idle and go about 2.5 turns out on the fuel screw.
ps. If the bike is an 06 you have to get an after market needle to be able to move the clip. I have read where some people have used a small washer to raise the needle.
