I'm thinken about buying a powroll motor kit for my 150. I mostly ride trails and play race with my friends, but after having the 150 for 2 years now it feels extremly whimpy. I am getting a CRF250R in the spring, but im keeping this one for trails and just goofing off, so plz dont suggest that. I really dont want to have to run race gace and i want a kit that is still going to be reliable and not give me any problems down the road. thanks in advance

first all of the powroll kits are reliable...but not all will run on pump gas. if you don't want to run a race gas mix then you'll need to stay at 11:1 compression. 170cc bore kit will do wonders...especially if you add a stroker kit. for example if you add in the 53.5mm stroker kit you'll end up at 190cc...if you get the 59mm stroker kit to the 170cc bore kit you'll end up with 202cc! heck, if you go this far you should also get the cam and 26mm carb. have you already made any exhaust mods?

no i haven't already made an exhaust mod. I was looking at either the bbr or the joker machine. My current muffler has no baffle or spark arrestor screen, i have a 115 main, and the snokle is taken out. So just the basic stuff. If i get a bore kit around how much will it cost to get my cylinder bored out to the specs? Also, i plan on making engine mods in different steps, i just can't afford a whole bore/stroker kit together on a 13 year olds budget. So with that said, what should i buy first, second, third,........
Thanks for the reply CRFS

sounds like the bore kit would be the best bang for the buck if you can only do one.

I have a 150 (202) From Powroll. Let me just list the mods. This bike is a monster!!!!! And very reliable
Stroked 9.5mm
Cam
Exhaust
170 Kit
2004 CR85 28MM Carb
Ported and polished head
BBr CDI Box
BBR Rear Spring
Custom made fork dampeners and spring set up
K&N Filters
520 NON "O" Ring Chain (Not a cheap 428 Kit)
You must note that this bike will NOT I repeat Not start on any kind of pump gas. It will not even run on Ultimate 4 Race fuel. WE run Race Gas at about 110 octane. I am getting ready to install Burnett Clutch plates in the bike. This thing like to eat plates now. I wonder why. This was not cheap to do but just to let you all now that it is possible. Have not DYNO'ed it yet but I think we are over 30HP.
Just remember "Be Safe and Ride it like you stole it"
