thanks ken for the info but know what size jets do i need. and who can i have do it. i am only 14, is it that easy. some people have also suggested putting the needle in the forth position. and when they say that, do they mean from the top, meanithe very bottom one?

jetting depends on so many factors, altitude, temperature, fuel, etc. so, i can't say for sure but here's a recommendation on where to start:

115 on the main, stock pilot, 16012-KPS-921 needle in the stock position.

needle clip position is always counted from the top position. neither is very difficult to do and i would recommend you get the 'Shop Manual' from honda if you are interested in wrenching your own bike. if you are uncomfortable and/or don't have an adult to help/supervise it might make sense to have a shop do it.

if you have a shop do it, ask them to properly set up your carb don't just tell them to put in a 115 jet and new needle. they should set it up correctly and determine what needs to be done. this will include jetting, needle, fuel screw, float, etc.

good luck and let us know how it goes...ken

main jet about $12, slow jet $7, needle $17. you may not need a needle change or a slow jet change. call a local shop for a quote on the work...shouldn't be too bad.

let us know how it goes...
