I have an 04 CRF150f. ANd i was just wondering if anything would happen if i took out the spark arrester. i have before, and it sounds sick. its as loud as a kx80. but i just dont want to hurt the bike.

you'll likely not hurt the bike...the main concern would be creating a lean jetting situation. if your motor is already running lean you might want to rejet it when you remove the spark arrestor. obviously, removing the spark arrestor is only recommended on a closed-course situation where spark arrestors are not required.

well, most bikes right out of the factory are set lean, and by you removing the spark arrestor it will create more air, air to fuel mixture is offset, resulting: possible engine damage.

but, i had an '04 150, put a big gun race series exhaust, ran it for about 4 months and no engine damage.?

dads always going to buy the next one right? hehe.

but, yes it would be safe(r) to rejet. 8)
