    Jetting for CRF150F

    by willflyforfood » Fri Oct 22, 2004 4:57 pm

What is the stock size for the main jet? My Honda dealer wasn't sure. I hope it's not 110, they didn't have a 115 in stock so they gave me a 110. I just installed a Twin Air Filter and a Big Gun exhaust, do I need to replace the needle or can I just reposition the clip on the stock one.

The stock main jet is 98, not sure if I got more power, haven't gone riding yet. Too damn cold in BC. It sure does look good though!!!! Next I am going to lighten my flywheel. The local machine shop will do it for beer.

Stock jetting is 98, 115 is what Big Gun recommends for their pipe. Big Guns' 'Needle Recommendation' is 16012-KPS-921, and they say to remove the intake restrictor.

-The intake restrictor is a little snorkle type rectangle at the top of the air box, You have to push up on the rectangle and it should pop out. Then loosen the airbox bolts to get it out from under the seat.

Thanks for all the info guys, I have already removed the snorkel, that was one of the first things I did when I got the bike. I also removed the spark arrestor screen. The 110 jet is fine I checked my plug on a ride after I did the mods and it looks good, dark brown almost black. I moved the needle clip down one position on the stock needle, the bike runs well, good throttle response so I don't need that other needle.
    Cheers.
