    2013 CRF150F Carb Jetting Questions

    by Spanky » Tue Sep 19, 2017 11:06 am

    Hi All,

I recently purchased a 2013 CRF150F, and it is in like new condition(stock). It starts right up. However, the throttle response is what I have read as the topical bog/delayed response known in the CRF150F. In addition to the the bog/delay response, it idles high for a while then settles down. My questions are:

Should I just clean the carb or buy the power up kit sold on this site?
Does the power up kit work with my 2013?
Do I need a fuel mix screw?
Do i have to drill out the tamper proof "cap" to get to the fuel mix screw?

    Thanks for the replies.

    Hi Spanky,
    Try the sticky below.

You might have to check the carby out to see if it has had a fuel screw added and jetting changed first so you know if it is still stock.

If you don't want it any more noisy you don't have to modify the baffle but would probably require a main jet somewhere between what mustang suggested and stock.
Remember any kit will get you close enough, but you still may have to adjust the fuel screw and change up or down the idle or main jets to suit your bike.
Make sure you start with a clean, and not an over oiled aircleaner.

It starts,it runs,it gets to where all CRFs can get to without the valve or valve plate dramas
