What year 150f should I get?

    by travislafferty » Mon May 26, 2014 7:13 pm

I'm looking to get my first bike and am wanting a CRF150f and I'm not sure on what year to get. I'm looking to spend about $1500 and I'm just not sure what year is the best for the amount of money I'm looking to spend. Please help me out guys! Thanks!

I would suggest you buy the latest model you can within your budget. The condition of the bike should also be taken into account.
If it looks original and looked after even if a few years older it would probably be better than a newer bike that was thrashed and never maintained.

Look for one with clean oil, clean air filter and a lubricated chain. Should start easy.
    All the years are similar.
depending on your age and height a CRF230 maybe better buy long term.

    CRF230F 2004
    C30F Power Up needle
    Mains 132
    Idle 45
    2 turns out
    Baffle out, Screens In

It starts,it runs,it gets to where all CRFs can get to without the valve or valve plate dramas

    Thanks Ray! I'm 16 years old, 5 foot 11 inches, and 155 pounds. Would you suggest I go with a 150 or a 230?

With your height, get the 230.

    A CRF230 would be a perfect size.

Of course you will want a CRF250 in a few years.
