    crf150f SNAPPING THROTTLE IT BOGS

    NEED HELP!!!!!!!
    have have recently purchased a 2003 crf150f and put a power up jet kit. 115 main and needle to the 4th position and a 45 pilot jet. and runs great. hold throttle at 1/4 throttle and snap it full runs good... but from dead idle and snap it full it bogs. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :roll: ;) :idea: :shock:

    The carby on a 150F does not have an accelerator pump, so from idle will bog when snapped open.

    You could try opening the idle mixture screw slightly to see if that helps.

    whats the diaphragm thing on top of the carb have had multiple bikes but never seen it before.my buddy has a 150r and you can snap the throttle but i do realize totally different bikes.

    would help if a moved the clip to the 5th position.. make it more rich . :twisted:

    If it runs good above 1/4 throttle don't move the clip.
    Open up the idle mixture (fuel) screw a quarter turn and see how it goes.

    Found out why was not going good forgot that the fuel screw was only out 1turn dump mistake.is there anything else I can do to the bike to give it little more pep?? :lol:

    Does 'opening up' the fuel screw (turning it out counterclockwise) allow more fuel or less into the carb?

    Being a 4 stroke it allows more fuel into the carb/engine

    Thanks Aussie. I am watching this thread since I am making some changes to my wife's 150F. I would love for it to have a little more pep.

    They do get along quite good for the motor size.
    If you rejet just remember to take out the snorkel.
    You can leave the rubber around the hole as it gives the air a smoother path rather then the sharp edge of the plastic. I would pay more attention to making sure it is sprung right and sag is set correctly.
