    my son needs more power

    by jak » Fri Oct 01, 2004 10:47 pm

My sons 03 CRF150 has the sidewinder 428 chain kit, twin air filter and a big gun exhaust with the BBR rev box. He is usuing all the power this bike can dish out.he is vertically challanged so moving him up to a 125 2 stroke is not a option at this time. Has anybody tried the BBR big bore kit?Is it worth the money?I see guys racing these bikes on the supermotard track and they are flying. Does anyone know what mods they are doing to the bikes?

jak...welcome to the group. keep in mind the saying...there's no replacement for displacement. this is especially true for small displacement motors. so, the BBR kit will definitly give it more power.

we are a BBR dealer and can get you anything the produce. we don't have them in our catalog yet but will soon. let us know if we can help.

If you use the Big Bore kit do you have to run race gas?

nope, just an octane of 92 or higher (like the manual states).

you could get an aluminum frame kit for the crf 150 which would make it alot quicker and lighter but is really pricey. :?
