Hey guys,
I bought this 06 CRF150F for my wife and am trying to get it to idle. It runs pretty well if you can keep the revs up but won't idle at all. I took the carb apart and it has a 45 pilot and 115 main. They are not plugged nor are any passages I could blow air through. I got frustrated tonight and took it apart again, inspected the diaphragm and made sure all the vacuum lines for the diaphragm are not leaking. The bike seems to be running lean. I found that if I pinch off the line pictured below and circled in red, the bike will idle. What is going on here?

Hey Ken,

The bike won't idle consistently with the choke on or off. Yesterday when I was messing with it, the choke was off and it would idle with the vacuum line pinched off.

I am having a similar issue with my 06 150f.

Mine will idle high...cannot lower idle adjustment because it will just stall.

when I pinch that hose, the bike idles up significantly.

Also, idle is very irratic...it either idles too high or too low, and there is no reason for the change...it is just sitting there running.

I am all stock.

BTW...what is that diaphragm?

I'll throw my name into the hat as well ... as I too would like to know what the tube does.
