I don't want to run Baha or spend $400. Has anyone added just a head light and maybe a tail light without buying a full dual sport kit?

yes, go to baja designs option 2 it is about $339.99 WITH stator rewind(which u will need to run) with out it, it is $249.99

You have to run a headlight and taillight for daytime riding at Ocotillo wells????? That just doesn't make sense to me. You are getting stopped by the cops for riding during daylight hours without a head or tailight in these areas. I could understand if you were riding at a time when headlight should be on. Please tell me that you are riding at night when you and your friends are getting stopped for this and not during daylight hours.
