    New guy with Questions

    Hey all,been reading as much as I can about rejetting.I bought my son a 2004 150F.Going to take the airbox off and rejet.I am at sea level,can you guys please tell me which jets I should try first.Also,my local Honda dealer will only sell jets in apsckages of four,is that routine?Thanx much,Mike

    Mike,

    Most bikes made in Japan come jetted for sea level. However it still might be lean, especially if you start shoving more air through it.

    I'm not sure what the 150 runs, but my guess is that the stock pilot will be fine, you can just drop the clip one position on the needle, and buy a main jet 2 to 3 sizes larger.

    They might make a JD Jet Kit for your sons bike, but it probably wouldn't be worth it for a 150. Look at my signature. It has all the stuff we did to my wife's 230.

    Are you removing the airbox completely or just the snorkel from the top?
    If just the snorkel, try a 42 pilot(40-stock) and a 115 main(98-stock),
    the stock needle will be ok but you might need to move the clip around.
    If the complete airbox, not sure, might have to go richer.
    Also, remove the exhaust baffle(1 torx screw on the side of the tip).
