cr 85 springs on a 150f

I was interested in using my friends cr 85 forks and using them on my bike, is there anything i should know about before i get them them them, do i need new triple clamps? if i do can i use the old cr 85 triple clamps? can i take the spring from the cr85 too? thanks

You can use the lower part of the triple but not the top. You'll need an adapter for the brake caliper, spacers and an axle from a CR 85, new fork stops, and a bracket to relocate the ICM.

The steering stem will need to be modified as well.

REGER Engineering has everything for the conversion.

Why would you do this, the 150R has bigger cannons than the 85's... :?

Same forks between the 150R and the 85's.

BTW he wants to do it to a 150F.

I just finished the CR85 fork conversion on my 150F. I used the kit from Reger Engineering, which was spot on and was very easy to install. Found the forks on Ebay for a great price so I saved a little there.

Looks killer, and I can't wait until the ground thaws to conduct testing. Combined with a Works rear shock it should work out great!
