    New Bike

    by dirt150dude » Sun Aug 31, 2008 8:05 pm

So im 15 years old, been riding since i was 12. I ride alot, and im pretty decent. I learned on a CRF150F. Greatest bike i have ever ridden (yes, i have rode more than one: YZ450F, KX85, KX250, PW80, blah blah blah). But im about 5'10" 150 lbs. I was lookin into upgrading to a 230 or 250, not quite sure which one. i want to be able to grow into it, but i dont want it to big. i dont want any of that electric start, or headlight garbage. i dont need it. i cant get anything new, pretty much has to be used. any thoughts would help greatly.

    230 or 250

My son just moved from a 150F to the 150 R. At your age I highly recommend the 250. The 250 won't weigh anymore than your 150F, but you will be surprised at the throttle response.

You'll think your arms got longer after your first ride.

lol first time i rode my buddies KX250 2-stroke i had it standing straight up. The throttle was just a bit more sensitive than a little 150 (sarcasm).
