Is it safe to take out the spark arrestor and end cap (end cap because i dent have the star shaped screw driver)? I have heard people say if you remove them you'll wreck the engine and others say it is better for the bike to take them out.

I can shoot flames out of my spark arrested muffler(Q4) even with the arrestor in, so I don't think it matters.

I wouldn't. Especially if you are going to ride somewhere they check for them.
We have two companies of Marines running rampant all over the northern half of this island, and three Army regiments pinned down in the southwestern corner, doing nothing. What the hell is going on?

My arrestor had been taken out when I got my bike, and the bike had been rejetted. I need the arrestor to ride in several places I go. I just put it back in. Will this hurt my bike?

FWIW, most spark arrestors don't have enough restriction to require a re-jet, unless you alter other things like baffles, intake, etc (unless the screen is clogged in which case you can clean it). In fact, removing the spark arrestor is more trouble than it's worth in most cases. If you are searching for that little bit of extra speed, then work on your technique.

or work on your technique, because im on an xr100r and im clearin sum jumps that 150s and 250s would look twice at, so i say stick with minibikes until youre ready technique wise, any noob can ride a 450 but he would be faster on the 150 or 250f.

I dont think he was saying his bike was faster than a 250, he was just saying his technique is better than the people with 250s, or he is just crazy, he never said anything about being faster
