Just start taking it apart you will figure it out! take the white side plastic off each side and you should see how. Its different from my 450x so I cant tell you, but it should be so easy. gl 8)

okay, i tried to take the side plate off. Its getting hung, should it pull right off? Which way do you push your seat on your bike to get it off?

If you don't have an owners manual make sure you get one, if you do and haven't read it get reading.
If you have to force anything you're not doing something right.
Get those white side panels off and start looking, it'll make sense to you then. You can't hurt anything as long as you're not forcing things, it's a good learning experience to learn your bike. Doug
