    broken rear shock?

    by dcdave » Mon Oct 01, 2007 10:04 am

My sons Honda CRF 150F has way too soft bouncy rear suspension. It bottoms out going over little jumps. We cranked down the preload to stiffen it up but it didnt seem to make a difference. The sag is 57 mm race, 20 mm bike. The shock has a dry oily/greasy film on the bottom. Should we replace the shock? Any suggestions/help is appreciated.

New shock from Honda is $195. I also will look into rebuilding the one I have. Thanks.
