I just bought my son a 150f. we did not get any manuals with it and i haven't had time to buy one yet. My son is 13, 110lbs 5'-4" an intermetiate rider and this bike was set up soft for the girl we bought from. can anyone give me sugestions or point me to a site for setting up of a 2004 150f?

I am just a little smaller than your son. I am 13, and my bike seemed soft even for me. We cranked the shock spring down all the way and are planning on putting in the 15W fork oil. I learned alot about the soft suspensions on here after buying my 2003.

This is really the only thing you can do to this bike with the weight of your son. It probally has the stock yellow rear spring, if so the only other option would be the stiff spring (bbr) and at his weight he would be bucked off if it got harry or double bump pogo launch. for the front, i agree the only thing you can do fairly cheap is change the fork oil, buy some stiff springs and only use one of them or some say preload the springs with spacers. If you want to spend money, look at a revalve or a works shock. send it to helbros in California if you want a revalve. It all depends on the money your will to spend. Be careful with suspension when dealing with heavy bikes and light kids. I do always say the best mods are suspension for saftey/control, especially for my son.

the best mod you can do is the gas cap mod.
to do the gas cap mod you take the gas cap off
roll a 150r or a 250f underneath it screw on gas cap
and youll find that the bike hits harder is faster suspension is better and the bike is just over all better,

Zak, I love your mod! The 150R would be great, He will have to wait until his budget can afford that one!
