    Tire size

    by RedRider713 » Fri Jul 13, 2007 12:34 pm

The stock tires on the 06 150F are 19-16 right? I was wondering if 21-18 tires would fit it.

    Thanks!

Maby possible but I wouldn't want to find out, think of suspension travel and the swingarm.

Yeah, I knew about switching the rims and stuff, I was just wondering how 21-18 tires would perform against the stock 19-16. I can imagine that there would be more travel on the suspension before it bottomed, but I'm not an expert.

Dont do it, look at the space between the tire and the inside of the swingarm.

To be honest I don't thing you can go up much in the tire and wheel size. The cr85 and the crf250r both can be purchased with larger wheels but I don't think it will work on your bike. If it did the only thing it would help is ground clearance, it wouldn't help travel. If you want to make your suspension better there are lots of cheaper ways to do it. If the CR85 suspension will work that would be the way to go. You might even check to see if the crf150r suspension would work. Even cheaper is the BBR suspension. After all that I would decide what you really want to accomplish and then look into the best and most cost effective way to get there.
