So any guess how much $$$ it is to install new fork springs and a rear shock?(I mean labor not how much the suspension costs) Just a guess on the price, anything will help.

$00.00 you can do it yourself all you need to do is take the fork cap out slowly take the spring out to not take any oil out and insert the new ones for the back one i have no idea but i know you can do it at home for free

I agree, it is very easy to do both jobs. Put the bike on a stand to remove the weight of it off the forks and shock.
The fork springs will be under some tension but not much.
While you are at the rear shock you should inspect and grease bearings in the shock arm sub-assy [5], and the rod sub-assy [7].

Reference this thread if you need help getting to the rear shock.

The hardest part of the whole project is getting the stiffer spring compressed enough to get it back on the shock

Is there a link to a website where changing out the rear shock spring is discussed? I am doing that right now and foresee problems. On another thread, I asked for help taking off the stock spring. I would like to see a How To on this subject.

I have not looked so I can’t say if the BBR spring is longer than a stock spring.
I can tell you that a stock 230 spring is easy to take off. Simply unscrew the spanner nuts. The spring will not be under tension by the time you run out of threads. It will be easier to loosen them while the shock is still on the bike.

There is a how to in the thread I posted earlier. There are only two bolts holding the shock on. Remove them and it will come right out.
