Can anyone give me a copy of the wiring diagram for an '06 CRF150?

I'm trying to figure out where to tap into the power for a headlight, and if a voltage regulator is necessary. :?

I've tried searching the forum first, but no actual diagram.

Thx

A voltage regulator is not required for a light, but I don’t think you can run much of a light with a stock 150 stator. http://www.bajadesigns.com/2005%20Web%2 ... lassic.pdf

A new stator will run you $100 to $130. but if you can find a used 230 stator you can run a 35w light.

Just connect to the battery 8)

Thanks for the link. I really appreciate it. If any one has the actual schematic for the '06 That would be perfect.

I'm going to wire everything through a fuse via the keyswitch when the bike's switched off, the light goes off as well. I want the 4 watt parking light to be on all the time and the full headlight (high / low) to come on when I use a handle bar mounted switch in the appropriate position.(hi / lo / off)

I'm only needing the light to get home after dark. No street legality is necessary. I only picked the street legal headlight because I liked how it looked.

According to the baja designs web site the '06 does not need the stator rewound unless I go with a larger light. I'm using the DHH CE 12vdc 35 watt light.

I called baja to purchase the harness and switch from their 31-0260 kit, but they don't sell the individual parts. They told me to buy the kit and ebay the light if I wanted to use a different one.

thx

It’s a good thing the 06 has a better stator. I could not find a schematic but if you have a volt/ohm meter than this link may work for you.

Ask Ken if he can get you a switch. I can’t believe Baja Designs does not sell replacement parts. That’s just not right, bad customer service. [-X
14g stranded + wire crimping set + electrical tape = wiring harness.

Happy about the upgraded stator. Just one more reason I'm glad I bought new instead of used.

Add proper plug in connectors to your wiring harness equation.

I just hate cutting and splicing, especially on the ignition circuit, and without a schematic. ](*,)

I'm sure it won't be impossible to figure out, but the schematic makes it a ton easier.

Hopefully some nice service person that reads this will scan in the page(s) in the manual and post them. ;)

You can connect the + wire from your switch on your bars and the wire from your parking light to the solid black wire on your honda wiring hareness. The power for this wire is controlled by your key switch. I agree don't cut into the harness use wire and connectors to make a y connector to plug into the harness.

Hope that helps Scott
