I've tried starting my bike, doing the flood clearing procedure, and trying to start it again for several minutes now, it will not start. Now my electric starter doesn't want to continue, it just makes that horrible RC car sound one time before giving up. Is my battery dead now? How can I start this bike? I really need help, I'm starting to think this bike is more trouble than it is worth guys.

But it's a 2007 I just rolled it off the showroom yesterday, how can the jetting be the problem?

Take it back to the dealer and let them fix it.

Turn key, fuel on, choke up, throttle open slightly.... start button..... Start button, start button..... Finnally, I charged the battery with a car charger and used the reserve tank and it started on the first tick.

While I'm on it, whats the best way to charge the battery? It says 5A X 30 mins on the battery, I used 10A (the lowest setting the car charger has) for 10 minutes. Can this damage my battery?

you should of never purchased that bike. It's a P.O.S. and you should sell it as soon as you can. I'll do you a favor and buy it from you

I'm thinking that now he's figured that it wouldn't start because it was out of gas, he'll be keeping it...

This thing has a pretty large reserve tank I guess, when my XR100 (God rest its soul which is burning in eternal agony down below) made the same sloshing sound in the tank, usually, it meant I could go on for another hour. So about that battery charging...

A trickle charger of 2 amps or less is the best.

I wouldn't use it often.

Charging a battery produces Hydrogen Sulfide gas. If you charge it at a high amp rate it produces gas at a much faster rate than the battery can expel it.

This can cause the battery to burst, spreading sulphuric acid all over your Father's new Mercedes convertible.

Lol, I know, it wouldn't be the first time something with a motor and battery has blown up because of me.
