A 150F will run any octane fuel you can buy at the pump. A 150R will need 92+ for best performance.

yeah any premium at a pump should be at least 92 octane i dont know why you would need octane boost i have never seen that much of a difference with my 450

Octane will help with pre-ignition. A CRF150F has a 9.5:1 compression ratio. Pre-ignition shouldn't be a problem until you are greater than 12:1.

Adding octane boost is a waste. You will not derive more power from it if that is what you are thinking.

Ship_killer, unless you have replaced your piston with one that has much higher compression, higher octane will do nothing but cost you money. You will not get better or more power from it.
In fact, most people that run premium gas in their cars don't need it nor get any benefit from doing so. Lab test have confirmed that over and over. If you don't believe us then look into it on the net. You will see. Just run what Honda suggests.

honda did suggest me 98 octane

if you say that I don't need my octane booster, i won't buy octane booster anymore

but from 87 octane to 98 I saw a difference

I don't mean some guy at a Honda shop, I mean the manual that you got with the bike. Your compression ration is only about 9:1. On the 450X the compression ratio is 12:1 and Honda only recommends 91 octane.. that's premium gas to you. There is no way that anything more than 91 octane is going to give you any more power unless you have changed that compression ration and need it. Save your money.

You're welcome. Try to find a manual. It will save you a lot of time.

If it says 90 or better, then run premium which is generally about 91-92 octane. Don't run 87.

On that little bike you could easily run 87 with no problems.

There's no way that you'd need to run 98.

A comp. ratio of 9:1 is near nothing.

My quad only needs 112 and I run 15:1

High octane in that little bike is useless.

Don't use octane boost either. It doesn't work the way you think it does.
