[230flattracker]

Just wondering if anybody out there has had any experience racing these 230's. Do they work? And what about tires

I haven't personally but I know others who have and they are blast to flattrack. The CRF150R is a beast for it's size. If you are a rider that can fit on the CRF150R this would be more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.

I have not personally flat tracked my 230 but have seen the 230s in action running TT. I left thinking Great, another project. By far the largest group of bikes involved appeared to be based on the CRF230 and 150F. Some of the bikes were set up with 19" front wheels some with 17s. They were racing a series here in NorCal that includes flat track SuperMoto and TT so these bikes were not flat track specific. The majority of them look to be relatively stock with a pipe and aftermarket or modified rear shock ,OEM front disc brake, OEM airbox etc. I suspect that they had the motors modified as well and had front forks reworked. A few ran pod type air filters. Tires appear to be dirt track specific units although my buddy whose kid is racing the series says he ran DOT approved Dunlop 606s on his 150F. I guess it all depends on how serious you are about jumping into the game.
Anyone out there from NorCal or else where that has more specific info please chime in This is an area I would like to expolore
