    case saver

Does anyone make a case saver for this bike?? We are resurrecting an 04 that has been used and abused for my kid. I went to rebuild the forks and the caps were trashed so I ordered up a set of adjustable preload caps from fleabay. It seems like a peppy little bike for him so far

Works Connection and Flatland make them and they are available from CRFsOnly. The Flatlands appear to have better protection, but read the reviews on and Flatland and ask Ken if you have any questions re potential current issues with either. BBR also makes them as do some other manufacturers. Do a Google search and find which one you want. Ken can/will get just about anything for you if you ask him nicely.

Yeah you're right Ken, I was mistakenly thinking Skid Plate. It's got a 'deflector' (of sorts) that I have not had the misfortune of 'road testing'

no, case savers are a metal plate that keep the chain from destroying the case if it breaks. I have one on my RMZ my brother has one on his KTM and we wanted to get one for the 230

I have seen chains break, smash the case saver and the bolts clean off the case. Kind of defeated the purpose.
