Noob to jetting....

Hey guys,

I recently purchased a 2007 230F, I am deployed, right now, but will be home in a month.

I am trying to order a few parts, and have them ready to install once I get home.

My dilema, is that my other (street) bike is FI, and I don't have much experiance with carbs. I am mechanically inclined (I work on aircraft) and have just about any tool I could need.

I read the sticky about jetting, and it seems that quite a few of the posts there are from folks who live at a higher altitude than me. (650 ft)

The closest one I found, is 'VortecCPI's post where he says that the 120 main gave him the best HP.

I was wondering if the 120 will still make the bike run hot, at my lower elevation? Should I just get the 45 pilot, and 132 main?

Ahhh! I'm confused!

Any advice?

(edit to add...I'm just planning on removing the 'flap' in the airbox, and uncorking the factory exhaust, not purchasing an aftermarket pipe, if that matters...)

Thanks, Ken.

I will do just that.

Matter of fact...it appears that I have found the website needed for any future upgrades I need to make! :D
