06 crf jetting (WHATS THIS FOR?)

    by tomcatrzr09 » Fri Jan 11, 2013 5:29 pm

Hi Ken, got the power up kit for a 06 crf230 how does the spacer for the needle go on? keep lookin at it but doesnt seem right. is the needle suppose to slide into the spacer? it stops when it gets to the end of the taper. doesnt look like it goes between the spring and the needle either. picture of how it goes on would be great. thanks a ton!

this is the needle seat (the "spacer" as you refer to it) and it is not necessary to remove or replace it when changing needles unless yours is damaged or warn.

There was not one on it (spacer). it has a spring and a linkage setup with two screws to hold a plate on it.so the spacer slides up the needle and seats at where the tapered cut stops? seems like the needle wont go down far enough compared to where it was originally by doing it that way. let me know if im thinkin wrong.thanks!

you don't need the seat...just replace the needle. use the middle clip position. put it in just as the stock needle was installed.
