Pressure rating of OEM hydraulic brake lines

by Old Dude » Fri Jan 04, 2013 11:37 pm

Anyone know the pressure rating of the OEM hydraulic brake lines on theses bikes. A CRF250 rear brake line is about the perfect length for my XR600 shock mod? Im told that the reservoir is nitrogen charged at 300psi. If this is accurate will the brake line support this pressure? Does the pressure in the reservoir even relate to the pressure in the line between the reservoir and the shock? Is this a safe option? Can one determine the pressure rating of the line by its markings?

i don't have an answer to your question however have you considered a custom made line just for your needs" HEL can do this for you and they would likely be able to assure you have the correct rated line for your needs.
