I recently got my first pair of MX boots. I'm having trouble shifting while wearing them. I know that the more I break the boots in the easier it'll get... but there just isn't enough room to comfortably maneuver a MX boot under and over the shift lever. I read that the Pivot Pegs really help out with shifting in MX boots. Someone also recommended a Driven Shift Lever. Are any of you guys using these?

i've used Pivot Pegs and like them. they do allow your boot to stay planted on the peg while the bike pivots up and down below you. your boots will break in and you'll get a better feel for them and shifting will become easier with our without the Pivot Pegs.

I like the Pivot Pegs. As Ken states your feet stay planted on the flat surface of the pegs as the bike rocks under you... espescially helpfull when riding whooped out dez and sand.

When I was riding my 230 and now with my 450X, I had to learn to shift with the side of my MX boot and not even try to get my foot under the shift lever. My 230 shift lever and pegs are stock - however.....

You will find that the use of a 10mm spanner to adjust the gear lever will cure it and save you $ on silly accessories
