I recently picked up a 2004 crf230f rolling chassis with baja designs street legal kit, basically everything but the motor. Then I got a good deal on a motor from a crf230l. However, I just realized that the charging systems are different on these 2 models so now I'm wondering what the easiest way is to make this motor work. Can I get a flywheel and stator from an f model and swap these for the generator on the l model? Maybe it would be easier to get the cdi, coil and wiring harness from an l model but then it might be a headache getting the baja designs kit working. Any advice you guys have on this is appreciated.
