    Rebound problem

    by mikie » Mon Jan 17, 2011 8:12 am

    I have an '05 CRF230F
We recently replaced the fork seals after they popped on me.
The first time riding it after that I noticed that the rebound is too fast, when the front wheel left the ground it would drop with a bang.
We figured that the oil weight was probably too low or that there was too little oil.
After draining it and adding 10W oil the problem was still there.

The guys looking at the problem recon the rebound vales have been made bigger, I am not convinced as it was fine prior to this.

    What could the problem be?
Does anyone know what the Valve size should be? It is currently 4mm wide.

    Please help :(

Added 385Ml in each fork. Dont think its a problem with that.
Down is perfect, downward damping is no problem at all, the return isnt good
