CRF230 front brake...MUSHY

    CRF230 front brake...MUSHY

    my CRF 150 front brake stops on a dime... my CRF230, after a caliper rebuild Fresh EBC pads/rotor still stops like crap.. any suggestions ?

    I'm assuming you bleed the line?

    yes I have and still the front brake stopping power sucks...

    you could try putting a tip tie around the front brake lever and the grip to hold the brake on. seems to force any air out and makes the brakes feel a lot stonger. I did it to my 230 after a brake job and it worked great
    2007 crf 230...lovin every minute of it

    Yep I do that to both my bikes the night before a race.. works pretty well. I also do the same sort of thing with the rear but use a tie down hooked to the pedal and the stand to keep pressure on it. Just make sure to cut the zip tie off and take off the tie down before you try to load your bike in the morning.. :lol:
