After much research it seems like CR125 front end is the way to go.
Any ideas on the back, I know new aftermarket shocks are available specifically for the 230 but has anyone had any succes with a used shock from another make/ model of bike.
Any comments good or bad appreciated.

The reger engineering rear shock is $599. Whilst I am sure its a brilliant piece of kit when you take into account the cost of a good front end and a brand new rear shock you may as well buy a bike that is better from the factory (CRF250 KTM etc).
I want to improve my 230 on a budget thats why I'm interested if anyone out there has tried a readily available used shock from another model.

Reger sells the parts to convert CR85 stuff to the CRF230.

You don't have to buy NEW Honda parts from them. Pick up the forks and a rear shock on eBay for pennies.

Spend a couple hundred with Reger on adapters, etc and you're golden.

Hi ~

Cant find anything on reger site other than complete fox rear shock at $599. Am I missing something or looking in the wrong place?
Front end is no problem as I can source a complete CR125 front for reasonable money
