    Clutch perch

    by SlowmanRMZ » Sat Apr 11, 2009 3:27 pm

Got a question... Is there any difference between a 2004 and a 2006 clutch perch? I guess to try to narrow it down here. The 06 has the "switch" (I believe it is for neutral and etc) built inside the perch where the two wires attach. Is the 2004 the same way? Long story as to why I am asking. I have a chance to pick up a set of ASV levers for my boys CRF. The individual selling them doesn't quite understand what I am talking about. I am wondering if there is a difference from year to year. Anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks...

Got another idea/question... is there a relatively easy way to bypass the switch and still have the bike start?

What bike? The perch should be the same. I have never heard of a switch like you describe.

    the perches are the same

the ASV clutch lever comes with a universal perch (its actually for a 2T, but since the 230/150 doesnt have a hot start, it works the same)

the switch wires can be wired together to complete the circuit, but the bike will now try and start if the bike is in gear and the clutch is not engaged..

not an issue if you always pull the clutch in..

i personally went with a generic CR125/250 perch with a shorty lever.

The asv perch doesn't have the switch I believe.
I haven't seen an aftermarket perch with the switch.
If there is one let us know guys.
