    Welcome acenerv,

I would seriously be installing a bigger main before riding to prevent the motor running lean.

I assume you have the standard needle in the carb.

Go for a 45 idle jet and a 130 main to start with.
You will have to fine tune from this point. It is not a case of do mod a,b,c and add exhaust y and this is the jetting you will need.

Have a look here for a few variations.

this might sound crazy but on bbr.com they have a 230f section and they say with aftermarket exhaust and airfilter use 110 main and stock pilot and i did just that. right now the highest temp. outside i get is 60 deg. so whatever that does to the jetting. but it runs great and couldnt be happier and thankyou for the sugggestion.
I have gained crazy power but if i cange the main to say 125 will that help anymore?

Just had alook at the BBR site and they appear to be saying use 110 with 150F and std with the 230.
    Way too lean.

How does your plug look at present?
What jets do you have currently installed?

If you have a 125 main, I would install that and check what the plug looks like after riding.

Not trying to be rude but this is what it says. My spark plug seems to be fine and no blackness at all and the bike runs great. Ill be recieving a 122 main in the mail in a couple of days.I still dont understand how you can run a 132 main. with little modifications to the motor.
    Thank you for the help.
    More would be great :)

    acenerv,
    No offence taken.
I was looking at the BBR site in the technical section under exhausts and the jetting recomendations they had there.

    So we are both right!!!

Do you still have the stock needle C39A or the power up needle C30F installed.

If you have the stock needle installed the 122 main would probably suit from what others have found.

Remember the main jet only comes into play from 3/4 to full throttle. A lot of the time we actually ride on the mixture let through by the needle. To test your main you really need a long and reasonably steep hill, with a run of at least 30 seconds to color the plug before pulling in the clutch and hitting the kill switch.

The spark plug outer should be dark brown to black(not sooty) and the centre electrode and porcelin should be dark tan heading towards brown.
What color is your porcelin on you plug?

My bike came without the snorkel or baffle and a 112 Main installed. It ran OK around the yard but was flat when it was opened up. I installed the C30F and 132 main and it flew.

The 132 Main I run in mine is OK in winter but is a little rich in summer. Probably could go down to 128 of 130. The plug looks fine until the air filter needs cleaning, then the centre electrode starts going black.

Every bike needs to be jetted slightly differently depending where you are, temp, humidity and what you have done. The link to the jetting post showed a variation to what people found worked. I intend to go to a 45 idle as it is still not 100% in winter when I do most of my riding.

Hope this helps and what year is your bike?
