okay... one more time for my crazy idea

    by Jdesey » Mon Apr 07, 2008 7:46 pm

Being a Mountain Biker at heart... I REALLY want to get the rear brake to be controlledmy by left hand.

Now I have the Clutch figured out. There is a company that makes a "half" clutch handle for just this kind of idea.

The problem is the darn rear brake. If it was a disc... NO problema... easy modification.

But as a drum I cannot figure this out. There is an aftermarket hand brake assembly for Mini's with a drum... but I cannot find one to save my life for a 230.

    please help

    someone on TT did this.

not sure about the longevity, it could be done better but hell, it works.

two ASV’s are better than one, and they would solve that issue.

More than one roadracer with right foot/ankle injuries has used a thumb operated brake on the left handlebar.

My good friend Aaron installed a CR80 disk brake on his wifes CRF150.

Maybe one or both of those ideas will help your idea become reality.

    Good luck!!

if u want to ditch the foot brake then you can hook the cable to the drum brake arm.
and to solve the 2 levers why dont they make one where its one regular lever and another lever like a hot start but bigger and make the bigger one the brake and the smaller one the clutch.
