Well unlike some of you on here i don't have the cash to buy stuff i would like, so why not just make it myself. here some pic's of my skidplate i'm making for my 230. first make a template using card board then find a 55gallon polyurathane barrel and transfer your pathern with a sharpy.

Using a jigsaw cut it out very carefully if you like taking pride in your work.

Use a heatgun(industrial type) to heat it up and form it into shape.

The polyurathane was 1/4 inch thick, wich is good enough, but i wanted extra protection so i made another piece to double it up making it 1/2 under the motor.

and bolted it together countersinking the allenscrews.

Well still need to bolt it up,but saw one of the mouting tabs was cracking so going to welded ,but here how it fits....making stuff is cool and it's even better than anyone on the market i think" well will see.

Use some sandpaper to clean up the edges and that thing will look "factory". Very nicely done! Good on ya!

Very creative. Do you ride a lot of rocks? I will be interested in a ride report before long. You may have just created a cottage industry! :)

yeah going to clean it up,just wanted to see what you guy's thought about it. i'm sure it will do good. at work i tryed punching a hole in it with a pointed hammer and all it did was a dimple. and that was just 1/4 inch thick so it will serve it's purpose. Plus it's easy to make too.

Well paint just doesn't grab, and it would scratch easy.I would just make it out of a black drum, here at work we have white, blue, green, black and sometimes we get product in red drums too.

I'd take two black ones! Do you think it would fit on my wife's 150 too?
