I have posted this question on Thumper Talk so I thought that I would try it here.
I have a 2007 230, 120 main, 45 pilot and needle in the 4th position. Everything was running fine with the stock pipe (baffle out), until I added a new Pro Circuit T-4. Now it is a making a popping noise on deceleration. The fuel screw was out 1 1/2 now out to 2 turns and still no change. I know this is a good combo. The plug is pulled out of the top of the air box. I was wondering if the new pipe is causing this or will I have to go to a larger main? It has a new spark plug and it is a little white but not too bad.
I suggest that you take a look at the Jetting database in the sticky at the top of the 230F forum.
http://crfsonly.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13473 Looks like a lot of people are jetted much richer on the main than you are. I see 128 and 132 there quite a bit. You might also look into the Honda Power Up option available from your Honda dealer.

I know I make a pooping noise every now and again, but I can't say I've heard my bike make one yet. Maybe she's constipated
We have two companies of Marines running rampant all over the northern half of this island, and three Army regiments pinned down in the southwestern corner, doing nothing. What the hell is going on?

I used to get them on my street bike, but the power commander fixed all that. I don't have much experience on the dirt side of the house yet, but if you were to ask Smash or ~, they might have a MUCH better answer.

I had the exact same problem with my bike. I fooled and fooled with the jetting with no avail. It turned out that it was an exhaust leak at the header where it connects to the top end. Start your bike in the garage with no fans running and run a match around the header where it meets the top end. If the match is blown out you most likely have a leak. The bolts must be tightened to 14 or 15 foot lbs. I was not able to fix the leak by tightening alone as I had overtightened crushing the brass gasket when I initially installed my new pipe. I had to buy a new gasket.
That's an awesome way to test! Thanks JT, I'll keep that in the toolbox!

Decel pop is caused by either an exhaust header leak ( as referenced by jtcohenour and his clever leak detector) OR by a lean pilot circuit.
We found that the 48 pilot helped the 230 immensely.
The decel pop went away, the bike started much easier and warmed up much quicker. Also, since the carb has no accelerator pump, the 48 helps in the low end power as well.
