I'm considering a BBR Rev Box for my future 230F.

I've heard very good, and not so good things about this item.

I've heard it gives you up to 3 more hp
I've also heard it can blow fuses
I've heard it eliminates the rev limit
I've also heard it can overheat the motor
I've heard it has a hotter advance curve
I've also heard of it blowing up engines

Please give me your opinion.

this is a reply to ALL engines not just the 230.
do not touch the rev limiter.

there are tons of other ways to increase power. it's not how high the engine revs it's how fast you can get the rpm up there.

you MIGHT get a little more power at the very high end but you are burning engine not fuel at that point.

No way it adds 3hp

The only bikes i've heard of blowing fuses is the e start 150.

Does not eliminate the rev limit but raises it by about 1000 rpm.

May cause more engine heat because you will probably beat on your bike more.

I have yet to see a chart that shows the advance curve, If someone has one I would like to see it.

Blowing up your motor is a possibility since you will likely be beating on it to get the extra RPMs that the box will give you.

These motors make peak HP well below the stock rev limit of 9800rpm.
