    New camshaft

I have a 2005 230 and was wondering if a new cam and valve springs would be a reasonable purchase for it. I already have an exhaust where i needed to rejet. I also have a new chain, sprockets and high performance clutch on the way so they can be installed. If anyone has put a new cam in were you able to do it yourself? Also anyone put the 428 renthal chain and sprockets on and see a good improvement?

Yes I have. Yes it is easy.
~ turned me on to Mike Coe who has a design called a Coeshow cam. He has Webcam make them. You will need new rocker arms but your stock springs work fine.
I combined the coeshow cam with a Wiseco 11:1 piston and wow!!! \:D/

I don’t like the 428; it takes away too much top-end. I have one if you want it $100 + shipping; only used twice. You should get a 14 tooth primary instead, they are cheep. 8)
