I ordered the CRF's fuel screw from the site, should be here tommorrow. Anything special I need to know about changing the old one out? I assume I just back the old one out and put the new one in , and adjust accordingly? If anyone has done this already I would like to hear some feedback about this.

Very easy to do. Remember, there is a spring, washer and o-ring that go into the carb on the end of the fuel screw in that order. They will not come with your new fuel screw. You will need to make sure that you don't lose them when taking out the old screw.

Power up kit costs about 32-40 bucks at your local dealer, and the fuel screw is like 20 bucks or something right here @ CRF's ONLY!!

by the way ~, do you know the proper procedure for adjusting the fuel screw along with the idle screw to make sure I'm getting the bike to peak running condition? I was told how to do it once before but forgot. Thanks for any help you can give in advance!

You can do as little as removing the snorkel from the top of the airbox or as much as cutting the whole top off.
Any change in amount of air must be countered with a change in the amount of fuel.
Still having fuel screw trouble

I just can't seem to get the bike dialed in with the new fuel screw. The bike gets really hot (weather has been humid and hot also) and it makes it difficult to make the adjustments even with the new fuel screw. I'm still getting a Lot of popping on decel even with the bike standing still , and when I get that to a minimum it seems to me the low end is not there like it was before the fuel screw replacement. I'm thinking about replacing the slow jet like ~ suggests, my problem with this is I really liked the way the bike ran before replacing the fuel screw. So its seems its just not adjusted right, like i said the bike gets hot pretty quick and makes it hard to make ajustments at "normal operating temp" any suggestions?

I use needle nosed pliers. Set your idle a little high to make it easier to hear changes in rpm.
The pilot jet will help with the popping. When I put the T-4 pipe on the popping vanished entirely.

Do you think a #48 pilot jet would be appropriate at sea level for my 07 230?

If you are speaking of the fuel/air screw, then no.
