Any suggestions for a good rev box? What are the ups and downs of having one of these?

BBR makes a good rev box and goes for about 56 bucks, I don't have one, but i've heard some good and bad about them. Basically it gives you a hotter advance curve meaning basically that it helps the engine to get more power quicker , it helps with timing i suppose. I've heard that they are not all that good for the engine either, but it seems that they make a good difference on the bikes get up and go . Also lots of people seem to have them. Anyone out there actually have one that can explain better than me?

Also I started a thread a while ago asking about rev boxes, but it seems that thread turned into more about bars but check it anyway
