Hi and welcome. I would suggest brake in according to manual. suggested 15 mile mild acceleration keep running through the gears up and down. Have fun

Welcome! Change the oil after a few hours. Don’t use synthetic oil until after you break her in. the piston rings need to seat.
    have fun!

What sleep why would you? How could you?! you've got to much reading to answer all those question you will have. Too much research for just the right accessories to fit your budget, ability, and character.you gotta get busy with that search link up to your right, see it? you must have a ton of questions. Start putting together that gear bag. well get busy.

Make sure you get yourself a spoke wrench.
A little retightening is needed when you first start riding.
DRC makes a nice one with different heads for different size nipples, whick comes in handy when riding with friends or when you change bikes.

Ken sells them so have a look.

thanks for all the help guys, man the last 2 days have been fun
incredibly sore tho, guess thats to be expected
now aussiecrf230 mentioned a spoke wrench, sounds like a good idea but how do I know when my spokes need tightening? and how tight do I go with them?
i gave the bike a quick once over and nothing seemed to be coming loose or anything. so far thins bike has been awesome, couldn't ask for a better bike for my size and skill level (or lack thereof lol)

Read your owners manual from cover to cover, it's a good one.
If you're a real new rider the riding tips Honda provides has really good information to know. Doug

    RedlinE_crf,

Here is a link about spoke tightening that may prove useful.
    http://dirtbike.off-road.com/dirtbike/a ... ing=spokes

If you like a good laugh look at Ricks "Don't Ask" Column

Several of us here have done trueing or rebuilding of wheels so don't be afraid to ask us.

Keeping them firm is just part of normal maintenance.
Don't go mad overtightening, that is why a spoke wrench is only 4 inches long, so you can't.

Clean, lube, tighten - get use to it you own a bike now.
Do it and you will have enjoyable rides, don't and you might have to push it home one day.

Read your handbook and get a manual as others have said - it's the best money you can spend.
